The ISS staff, associated members, and consultants have international reputations in reactor safety analysis and thermal-hydraulic systems analysis software development.
The principal founder of the company, Dr. C. Allison, led the SCDAP/RELAP5 severe accident code development activities at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INL) from 1981 to 1996 prior to the formation of ISS. Dr. Allison has served as a consultant for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC), Department of Energy (USDOE), and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The lead programmer for RELAP/SCDAPSIM, R. Wagner, was the prime architect for the RELAP5 code at the INL until joining ISS in May 1998.
P. Allison, a certified public accountant, serves as the chief financial officer for ISS.
J. Hohorst was the leader for SCDAP/RELAP5 validation activities at the INL until joining ISS in May 2001.
Other associates and consultants include S. Hagen, who lead the CORA and other severe accident experimental programs at the German Research Center at Karlsruhe, Germany.
ISS also acknowledges the support from the INL RELAP and SCDAP/RELAP development staff and members of the SCDAP Development and Training Program.
